Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Nurse Manager for the Outpatient Infusion Center and Cancer Center at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. In 2017, the Medical Center completed a state-of-the-art campus expansion featuring a new four-story 87,000 square foot building with a private, 32 bed Intensive Care Unit, new Main Entrance and Lobby, Retail Pharmacy, Patient Registration Area and newly expanded Emergency Department.

Qualifications:

RN Graduate from an accredited ADN or AAS degree program

Preferred:

2 years of related chemotherapy administration experience strongly preferred

EPIC experience

BSN strongly preferred

Previous leadership experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement

ONS Chemotherapy certification required

BLS from the American Heart Association

Schedule:

Monday- Friday, 5 days a week

No weekends

Essential Functions:

Provide daily oversight to the Cancer Center and Infusion departments

Ensures accuracy with patient orders

Strong Financial Acumen; Maintains operating budget (fte s and budgeted expenses)

Responsible for staffing schedules and submits payroll

Drives Patient Experience & Service Recovery, including daily rounding on patients in the department and patient call backs

Monitor and track PI (Performance Improvement) metrics and goals

Assists in ensuring COC standards are upheld and participates in all Oncology and hospital wide Regulatory surveys (announced and unannounced)

Attends Oncology-specific and Leadership meetings

Serves as a Safety Coach for the Cancer Center and Infusion departments

Act as part of a multidisciplinary team provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up

Drives employee engagement activities and ensures and positive work environment

Assists in the coordination of Cancer Survivors Day Celebration

Develops positive working relationships with providers
