Description
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Licensed as a Practical Nurse
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to pass a background check to obtain security clearance
- Ability to pass required drug testing
- Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
- Good organizational skills
- Great communication skills - written and verbal
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Deliver care to inmates by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation in accordance with established philosophy
- Practice specialty nursing in a complex environment which combines the demands of two systems, corrections and health care
- Work with a population where serious medical conditions, psychiatric disorders, substance addiction and infectious diseases are more prevalent than in the general population
- Includes elements of multiple medical specialties including outpatient care, emergency care, chronic care, OB/GYN care, geriatric care, postoperative care, addiction/substance abuse, mental health, occupational health and dental health.
Full-time position, typically working Monday - Friday, from 10:00 a. m. - 7:00 p. m.
$30.17 per hour. Benefits include: health insurance, life insurance, optional vision / dental insurance, vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays. Additional optional benefits: flex plan, health savings account, AFLAC and Colonial insurance plans and Nationwide retirement 457 B plan.
