Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing of the Hematology/Oncology and the Hematology/Oncology Clinical Director, the role will involve designing, conducting, promoting, evaluating and supporting health professions education programs in compliance with organizational objectives, research protocols and nationally accepted accreditation standards and requirements. Supports clinical staff in areas such as curriculum, teaching, and learning activities, scheduling, core competencies, assessment and evaluations. Coordinate all activities associated with ongoing administration of health professional education programs. The incumbent will apply acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments / projects / tasks of moderate scope and complexity; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.
Salary range: $47.18/hr - $71.50/hr
Qualifications
Required:
CA LVN License with IV therapy and blood withdrawal
Possession of BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures.
Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed.
Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician.
Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life-threatening medical problems
Excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers.
Skill to perform CPR.
Working knowledge of the UCLA EHR (Epic/CareConnect)
Keyboard literacy skills to access and input data in computerized logging systems
Skill in operating a PC and PC-based software applications, including Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Possess license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners
Demonstrated ability to be punctual and maintain good attendance.
Skill and knowledge to submit quality work in a timely manner.
Ability to accept direction from leadership and act promptly.
Available transportation to commute between Hem-Onc community offices
