Responsibilities
Dallas Regional Medical Center is looking for an exceptionalfull time, night shiftLicensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Definitive Observation Unit (intermediate care/telemetry). This unit primarily cares for cardiac and neurological diagnosis patients and all of our patients are on cardiac monitoring. Our LVN duties include, but are not limited to:
cardiac maintenance or titratable drip care
provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
meet the communication needs of the patient and family
communicate to the RN about changes in patients' clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring and results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment
performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
current and valid Texas state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
ACLS (AHA), preferred
IV certification, required
one year experience in an applicable setting, preferred
