**Avera is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera's patient-focused settings.**

**Unit Demographics**

16-bed observational unit

Wide variety of patient types!!! Goal for patients is <2 days "Length of Stay"

Non-emergent chest pain, ERCP, TIA, kidney stones, 24-hour EEG, long-term trials, appendectomy's, generalized dizziness and/or weaknesses w/o a known root cause

Preferred med/surg and orthopedics overflow unit

Preferred overflow unit for stroke patients - ALL staff are NIH certified, team works hand-in-hand with neurology providers

**Education and/or Experience**

Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.

**Licensure/Certification/Registration**

Licensed as a LPN in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required.

**Work Schedule**

Day/Evening Shifts, 72 hours every 2 weeks

Every other weekend

Every other holiday

Occasional call time

**Pay**

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$22.75 - $31.50 per hour
