**Licensed Practical Nurse**

Cross-Trained on various units
**Responsibilities:**
- Exercise sound nursing judgment and participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
- Communicate with a licensed professional nurse and healthcare team when patient needs exceed scope of practice or significant changes occur.
- Document patient information comprehensively and integrate organizational goals for safety and satisfaction.
- Build compassionate relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Provide patient and family education for care transitions.
- Seek feedback and engage in continuous professional development.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for clinical and workplace improvement.
- Knowledge of age-specific patient care and principles of growth and development.
- Ability to assess and interpret patient needs and provide appropriate care.
- Preferred healthcare experience, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff and patients.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, specialized equipment, and maintain physical stamina.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Current LPN state licensure or compact agreement coverage.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
