FOR SECOND AND THIRD SHIFT POSITIONS - YOU MAY BE APPROVED FOR AN ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION BONUS: Each Licensed Practical Nurse who is permanently assigned to second and third shift shall receive a yearly "retention" bonus of six hundred ($600). This bonus shall be paid in two (2) installments: In July and December. In order to be eligible for this bonus, the Employee must have completed one year of service in the classification.

Responsibilities

Coordinate medication and nutrition through G-Tube or J-Tube, ensuring proper administration and patient safety.

Perform glucose monitoring and administer insulin to maintain optimal blood sugar levels in diabetic patients.

Conduct respiratory treatments to manage and improve breathing conditions in patients with respiratory challenges.

Provide colostomy, cecostomy, and urostomy care, ensuring hygiene and comfort for patients with ostomies.

Deliver wound care and catheterization, promoting healing and preventing infection in patients with complex needs.

Support individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors, using specialized techniques to ensure safety and well-being.

Communicate efficiently with non-verbal individuals, employing alternative communication methods to understand and respond to needs.

Collaborate with team members and community providers, fostering teamwork and continuity of care across settings.

Position Details

8 Card Street, Windham (Willimantic)

Full-time, 70 hours/biweekly

Second (2nd) shift position

Schedule of 2:15pm - 11:00pm: Friday, Saturday, Wednesday, Thursday

Regular Days Off: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
