The Connecticut Department of Correction () (DOC) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse () (35 Hour) to join our Infectious Diseases/Control team at the York Correctional Institution () in East Lyme, CT. The York Correctional Institution is a high-security facility. It serves as the state's only institution for female offenders. It serves all superior courts in Connecticut and manages all pretrial and sentenced female offenders, whatever their security level.

POSITION DETAILS This is a full-time, 35 hour position on first shift. Schedule is Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 3:00pm. Responsibilities of the LPN include:

Coordinate and monitor all facets of care for each ID patient from admission to discharge.

Maintain ID Access Program system to efficiently track relevant clinical information for all ID patients.

Be responsible for vaccination tracking and administration.

Assist in PPD placement, reading, tracking, and peer teaching.

Collaborate with Infectious Disease Specialist and facility MD for monitoring and treating Hep C.

Be involved with infection control at the facility level.
