**Job Summary**

The Registered Nurse is accountable for providing quality nursing care to our patients within their scope of practice.

Supervise the staff working with them to coordinate cares with ancillary staff and to communicate effectively with the providers to ensure quality patient care.

Responsible for the compliance of Physician/Provider orders.

Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics, Avera's Mission and Avera's Service Excellence Standards.

**Education and/or Experience**

Graduate of Registered Nursing Education program.

3-5 years of experience required.

**Licensure/Certification/Registration**

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota.

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire and must be maintained.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 2 months from date of hire.

Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 4 months from date of hire.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 12 months from date of hire

**Work Schedule**

Hours:

Position requires 72 hours worked in a six-week schedule equating to 624 hours annually, not exceeding 1248 hours in a 12 month period.

Six weekends required annually.

**Pay**

Flat Rate pay of $50.00
