**Overview**

Presbyterian Villages of Michigan, a faith-based, premier nonprofit organization providing senior living and services in Michigan, has a great opportunity to join our leadership team as the **-Executive Director (Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Memory Care).-** We invite you to help us create new possibilities for quality living for the seniors we serve.

The Executive Director is responsible forthe overall success (financial, regulatory, resident satisfaction, care quality, stewardship of the physical facility, employee development, satisfaction, marketing. This important and highly visible position provides leadership to a team of outstanding and committed team members that consists of over 200 staff serving residents inIndependent Living, Memory Care, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. The Village of East Harbor is located in Chesterfield, Michigan.

**Responsibilities**

1. Conduct supervisory activities such as hiring and firing staff, providing employee orientation and training, coaching or disciplinary action, and approving employee time sheets for direct reports.

2. Approval human resource plans or activities including the selection of managers or other high-level staff, establishment or organization of major departments, or increases and decreases in staffing levels for Village.

3. Establish departmental responsibilities and coordinate functions among departments and sites.

4. Analyze operations to evaluate performance of a Village and or staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.

5. Prepare budgets for approval, including those for funding or implementation of programs.

6. Direct or coordinate Village's financial or budget activities to fund operations and increase efficiency. Coordinate the development or implementation of budgetary control systemsrecordkeeping systems, or other administrative control processes.

7. Oversees capital projects and building expansions, in collaboration with FacilityAdvancement staff.

8. Negotiate or approve contracts or agreements with suppliers, distributors, or other organizationalAssures that contracts meet PVM's risk management standards

9. Develop and oversee marketing, sales and admission plans and processes to assure meetingbudgeted occupancy and service expectations. Assure that marketing initiatives are aligned with PVM's marketing standards and practices. In collaboration with PVM Sales & Marketing staff.

10. Direct, plan, or implement policies, objectives, or activities of Village to ensure continuingoperations and to ensure quality.

11. Serve as role model and leader to service excellence. Ensure systems are in place to train and recognize team members. Oversee systems to promote resident relations and to provide follow up on complaints and concerns.

12. Implement and oversee risk management strategies and plans. Conduct or direct investigations or root cause analysis in response to complaints or violations of policy or law. Promote learning from adverse events.

13. Establish relationship with Village Board of Trustees including development, education, and management support.

14. Commitment to embracing diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice as evidence by building diverse leadership teams, staff, partnerships, and residents.

15. Develop and implement long-term strategic planning for Village in collaboration with the Village Board of Trustees. Implement and track Village specific strategies identified in the PVM system strategic plan.

16. Establish and maintain relationships with significant community partners and organizations, in collaboration with the Board of Trustees.

17. Lead and participate in fundraising strategies and campaigns.

18. Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings and training opportunities in order to keep informed on current information and skill development.

19. Follow established policies and procedures including but not limited to:

Presbyterian Villages policies and procedures.

Safety policies and procedures.

Federal, state and local regulations.

All other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**

**Education :**

·Bachelor's Degree inBusiness, Public Administration, Aging Services, Hospitality, or Health Care Management required, or experience commensurate with a graduate degree.

**Experience :**

·Five to seven years in health care management, at a senior executive level, preferably including experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living memory care, and/or independent housing.

**Computer Skills**

·A high level of computer literacy particularly in Microsoft Office programs, timekeeping systems, work order systems, and other computer systems consistent with daily operations.

**Other Requirements**

- Knowledge and experience in critical areas inclusive of home for the aged, , Sales and Marketing, assisted living/memory care and Wellness initiatives,

- Licensed Nursing Home Administrator certification a plus

- Ability to work non-traditional hours and needed to accomplish goals
