The **Education Assistant** shall support USAFSAM En Route Care Training Department in developing and maintaining training platforms that adhere to academic standards, operational needs, and other programmatic requirements.

**Responsibilities**

Provide current and future educational/training support for all faculty assigned to USAFSAM En Route Care Training Department. These training platforms provide aeromedical evacuation, advanced critical care, trauma, and infectious disease training for DoD medical personnel to assist with medical currency, comprehensive medical readiness skills, and deployment training.

Ensure all USAFSAM En Route Care Training Department courses meet academic standards, operational needs, and wartime readiness requirements.

Utilize knowledge of an extensive range of nursing care theories, principles, practices, procedures, and has extended Critical Care clinical training background/experience(s) to solve both administrative and professional health care problems/challenges.

Coordinate all aspects of program start-up, ongoing reporting and monitoring of training effectiveness.

Develop, perform, and monitor conferment of continuing nursing and medical education credits.

Maintain and assist with program changes and provide regular feedback to AF/SG Consultants and Career Field Managers (CFM) through the Comprehensive Medical Readiness Program (CMRP) to ensure program reliability and continuity.

Provide input into medical policy development for AFI 41-106, Air Force Medical Readiness Program.

Determine resource requirements and coordinate curriculum development at the En Route Care Training Department's current and future training sites.

Consult with Surgeon General's (SG) clinical consultants and CFMs concerning professional and paraprofessional training standards and educational goals.

Engage with leadership and cadre members at training sites to use new/existing resources more efficiently and suggests innovative ideas to optimize training experiences.

Collect, compile, and analyze training site data to develop reports that allow leadership to understand training shortfalls and program implementation barriers.

Complete periodic review on data collection and updates data collection tools/methods for reporting purposes to provide accurate analyses of program development and success.

Collect and consult appropriately to develop objectives and priorities that meet all suspense's.

Present complex information, concepts, processes, and ideas, which are clear, concise, and well-organized, and carry out work that is well aligned with USAFSAM organizational goals.

**Qualifications**

Bachelor's degree.

Minimum four (4) years of experience in a medical-related environment.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

Possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with word processing software, PowerPoint and SharePoint applications preferred

Proficient in and build Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.

Knowledge of the Joint Trauma Service and Air Force Medical Service Clinical Practice Guidelines, and educational delivery methods preferred

Knowledge and understanding of applicable Air Force and professional standards is mandatory.

Knowledge of military and civilian guidelines that govern policy and procedure, successful completion of USAFSAM's and Department's orientation programs is required (After 60 days of hire).

Knowledge/experience/understanding of Comprehensive Medical Readiness Program, Training Affiliation Agreements, nursing competencies, and obtaining continuing education units.

Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred.

Experience as course director, and with course control document software preferred.
