The Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking a*Director of Nursing*at Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital. As the*Director of Nursing*, you will play an essential role in shaping and overseeing the Nursing Department in a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed setting. Your responsibilities span a spectrum of critical areas, including setting and monitoring professional nursing practice standards, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring that nursing practices align with the standards set by the Joint Commission, CMS, and DMH. Your expertise will be pivotal in fostering collaboration among department heads, as well as monitoring the performance of senior nursing leadership. Collaborating with human resources and labor management, you will ensure the fair application of Bargaining Unit contracts, contributing to a harmonious and supportive workplace under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining a cohesive and effective interface, coordination, and communication with community-based providers, emphasizing the philosophies of recovery, a person-centered approach, and a trauma-informed knowledge base throughout your duties.
