**Responsibilities**
**-This position is located at Mercy Medical Center-Merced. We will consider candidates who would need to relocate with relocation assistance offered.-**
The Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) at CommonSpirit Health Research Institute plays a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of clinical trials and research projects. They work closely with various stakeholders, including the Research Operations Market Research Manager, Principal Investigators, co- and sub-investigators, clinical and ancillary departments, IRBs, and sponsors.
The CRN's responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, including:
Recruitment, screening, enrollment, and managing protocol-required visits and procedures.
Collecting and reporting data, coordinating and participating in sponsor monitoring visits or federal audits, resolving queries, and reporting adverse events.
Maintaining research records, ensuring study drug accountability, collecting and processing specimens, and adhering to all applicable regulations and policies.
Serving as a clinical nursing knowledge role model, performing clinical procedures and assessments within their scope of practice, and potentially providing direct patient care related to research protocols.
The CRN works independently to manage multiple clinical trials or research projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and CommonSpirit Health policies. This position may require occasional travel and weekend assignments.

**Qualifications**
**Required Education and Experience:**
BSN and current CA RN license.
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience with patients in a healthcare setting required, Oncology specific.
Minimum 3 years of experience conducting clinical trials required; worked as primary research nurse for at least 5 drug or device trials.
Experience in implementation of research protocols and clinical trials processes required.
Experience in preparing and maintaining regulatory documents and other IRB-related study documentation required.
Experience using electronic data capture software required; Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) -preferred.-
**Pay Range**
$42.69 - $61.91 /hour
