Unique Opportunity - Clinical Nurse Coordinator () State of Connecticut, Department of Developmental Services (DDS () ) - South Region, Public Health Division - has an exceptional full-time 1st shift job opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Coordinator. This role, located in Wallingford, offers an exciting and fulfilling experience for a passionate healthcare professional.

We provide compassionate services at Community Living Arrangement (CLA) sites, nurturing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We thoughtfully conduct nursing assessments to craft personalized care plans that honor each resident's unique needs and preferences. We take care to prepare quarterly and annual nursing reports, highlighting residents' progress and making any necessary adjustments to ensure their well-being. Our role also involves guiding and supporting direct care staff, empowering them to deliver the best possible care, while carefully monitoring nursing services to swiftly address any concerns that may come up.

Full-time (80 hours/biweekly)

First (1st) shift position

Work schedule of 8:00 a. m. - 4:30 p. m., Monday through Friday (Regular Days Off: Saturday & Sunday)

Eligible to telework up to 50% after completion of the 6-month working test period.

To succeed in this position, you should have experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with a deep understanding of their unique needs and challenges. Proficiency in basic nursing skills is essential, including medication administration, G-tube or J-tube nutrition, diabetic care, respiratory treatments, colostomy, cecostomy, urostomy care, wound care, and catheterization. You must also possess strong knowledge of infection control practices to maintain a safe environment for both residents and staff.
