CHMC - Wound Ostomy Nurse - Full Time- Day Shift - Requisition 7691
A Wound Ostomy Nurse In Training serves as a consult for clinicians for patients with fecal and urinary diversions and chronic wounds. The WON provides in-services and orientation for staff, develops and monitors standards of care and tracks and reports pressure ulcer prevalence and incidence.

EDUCATION:
Required:
Associates Degree in Nursing
Bachelor's Degree preferred or within 2 years of hire
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Valid NYS RN license
BLS Certification
WON Certification within 5 years of position start date
TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years of acute nursing experience
Demonstrated leadership ability
Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals
Excellent organization skills
Ability to work under pressure and with deadlines
Exhibit proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities
Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy as it pertains to the documentation of information
Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies
