**Position Highlights**

Work environment: Supply Chain management

Work hours: Full-Time; Day Shift 6:00AM- 3:30PM

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth is a 222-bed full-service facility that includes surgical and imaging services, a 24-hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth, which has been serving Tarrant County residents since 1987, has 1,100 employees, 120 volunteers, and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff. The hospital is a Pathway to Excellence® designated hospital by American Nurses Credentialing Center, a designated UnitedHealth Premium Surgical Spine specialty center and has earned Quality Respiratory Care Recognition from the AARC. **Qualifications**

H. S. Diploma or Equivalent Required

Associate's Degree Preferred

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

1 Year hospital experience Required

1 Year Inventory management, Cerner Millennium and/or surgical experience Preferred

**Position Responsibilities**

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Clinical Outcomes Specialist will

Maintains bone/tissue formulary. Tracks product usage and trends and adjusts Par levels as appropriate. Receives and returns inventory. Tracks, logs and stores appropriately using AATB standards and guidelines. Maintain utilization records for all bone/tissue products. Submit requests for new CDM numbers (chargemaster) for new products. Ensure vendors are FDA registered. Submit LIS tickets for new products or changes. Dispenses and returns to inventory all bone/tissue products using Cerner tracking system. Ensures all applicable computer systems track products as appropriate. (SMS, HSM, Careconnect, Advance, etc) . Properly track and investigate recalls on products to ensure patient safety.

Reconciles invoices to product usage and cost . Monitor shipping charges. Ensures vendors are charging THR contracted pricing. Charge/credit bone and tissue products for patient bills. Participate in department in budgeting process. Respond to budget variances monthly as appropriate.

Establish and maintains AATB and TJC standards for all bone/tissue products. Writes and reviews policies and procedures for department in CLSI format, adhering to all AATB, TJC and CAP standards.

Participate in committee meetings. Prepare monthly reports for presentation. Create and monitor quality improvement programs within department.

Comply with all department policies for continuing education, time and attendance, competency. Comply with all safety and HIPAA regulations. Ensure temperature monitor is being done and within acceptable limits.

Train new employees in department processes. Ensure ongoing competency of current employees.
