**Job Summary**

The University of Michigan and the National Institutes of Health will jointly invest $79 million to support and recruit 30 new faculty members to the Ann Arbor campus as part of a nationwide effort to enhance inclusion and equity across the biomedical and health sciences community.

The College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) at the University of Michigan seeks outstanding scholars for new tenure-track assistant professor faculty positions as part of the Michigan Program for Advancing Cultural Transformation (M-PACT) Program. This hiring program, funded by the University of Michigan and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), aims to recruit faculty with a demonstrated and ongoing commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) via their scholarship, teaching, and/or service activities with research interests suitable for funding by the NIH. This call is part of a broader university effort to enhance inclusion and equity across the biomedical and health sciences community. This is a full-time, university year appointment with an anticipated start date of August 25, 2025.

Through the M-PACT program, the Department of Women's and Gender Studies seeks scholars with interdisciplinary interests, exceptional promise, and a strong commitment to research, teaching, service, and DEI. Successful candidates will enhance our strengths in gender and health, which is both a popular major in the department and a scholarly focus for our faculty. Field of specialization is open. We especially welcome applicants working on topics that fall withinNIH funding priority areas () . Candidates should show evidence of collaborative potential on a funded research team.

**Required Qualifications***

Applicants must have a Ph. D. or terminal degree conferred by July 1, 2025 and must never have had a tenure-track faculty appointment.
