Assistant Nurse Manager HOPS - REI/IVF

Cleveland Clinic offers a complete range of fertility specialty services for both men and women, including traditional therapies, IVF, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, sperm aspiration, assisted hatching, blastocyte transfer, embryo cryopreservation, donor eggs and sperm, and IVY surrogacy.

**A caregiver in this position works 7:00AM - 3:30PM.**

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Provide clinical supervision to nursing personnel within diagnostic and therapeutic service departments providing care to hospitalized patients.

Assume responsibilities of Nurse Manager in their absence.

Manage the day-to-day operations of ambulatory procedural settings caring for hospitalized patients.

Oversee nursing personnel and patient care providers in procedural settings to ensure quality of care.

Anticipate and resolve patient care issues.

Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.

Provide ongoing clinical evaluation of nurses and other direct and indirect patient care providers on assigned unit/area.

Counsel caregivers on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions and collaborate in monitoring attendance issues.

Alert the Nurse Manager of significant clinical or other performance issues.

Participate in interviewing, selecting and appraising the performance of caregivers.

Monitor the adherence to EEO/AAP goals and guidelines.

Monitor daily clinical operations of outpatient clinics (patient flow, staffing, supplies, etc.).

Prepare schedule of work assignment assuring adequate coverage on all shifts.

Assist in orienting new personnel, continuing education and in-service educational programs.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA).

Three years of clinical experience.

Strong demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills.

**Physical Requirements:**

Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.

Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
