Description
Responsible for promoting and restoring patient's health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care, directing and developing staff, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs and providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
Principal Accountabilities:
Works with the Manager of Cardiac Services to oversee the performance of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Newton Medical Center.
Oversee proficiency in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Newton Medical Center.
Reviews daily scheduled procedures to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Responsible for daily clinical operational flow
Maintains scheduling for daily staffing and on-call coverage.
Reports to the Manager any problems and potential issues that may affect department workflow, patient safety and team dynamics.
Utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to coordinate patient care.
Collaborates with Manager in assessing needs of the department.
Appropriately delegates responsibilities and projects
Co-leads Cath Lab meetings (i. e. STEMI QI, Staff Meeting)
Participates in patient satisfaction rounds, maintaining awareness of patient conditions and needs.
Monitor HCAHPS and Press Ganey scores for continuous process improvement.
Initiates and maintains open line communication for patients/family concerns complaints or special needs.
Candidate also responsible for employee management; assists/conducts yearly performance reviews.
Accountable for meeting all regulatory guidelines.
Works closely with Manager in all organizational Cardiovascular Service Line initiatives.
Required:
BSN required.
BLS and ACLS Certification.
Minimum of 3-years of Cath Lab, Cardiology and/or Assistant Nurse Manager experience required
License/Certification:
Valid NJ Nursing License required.
MSN Preferred
