**As** **ADON at Hearthstone you will:**
Collaborate with the DON for overall nursing leadership within our Long-Term Care area
Orient, train, and provide ongoing training and supervision to employees
Assist in the evaluation of the health care services needed for each resident
Serve as the liaison for staff shift transitions
Plan, develop and oversee staffing schedules
Schedule and conduct in-services meetings for staff
Prepare and participate in surveys and inspections made by authorized government agencies
Partner with the DON for nursing operation efficiencies
Oversee infection control program and reporting
Communicate with physicians, family members, etc. regarding resident status as appropriate
Participate in quality improvement activities
Audit skills of nursing staff

Bachelors or better in Nursing

Registered Nurse

Active RN license in the state of Iowa is preferred but an LPN licenses is required
5+ years of nursing experience within a long-term care setting
**Preferred**
Previous nursing leadership experience in a long-term care setting is highly preferred
