Description
*Tuesday and Thursday Evenings*
To provide quality instruction in the fundamentals of advanced manufacturing and operation of an Industrial Operator.
Prepare syllabus and daily lesson plans and hands-on projects for the practical application of the curriculum
Prepare and deliver instructional material to assist students' learning
Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress
Provide individual and group instruction in the implementation of the curriculum
Use a variety of instructional strategies to property monitor and assess student performance
Prepare pre/post tests and performance evaluations for students at the completion of each unit
Teach in-person classes (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) plus additional hours for planning and grading remote assignments
Use relevant technology to support instruction
Maintain and modify curriculum to remain current and up to date
Maintain accurate and complete records of student attendance and progress throughout the course
Observe and evaluate student performance and development
Order student textbooks, supplies, materials and equipment necessary for the implementation for the program
Provide appropriate safety training
Effective supervision of students
Maintain and modify curriculum to remain current and up to date
Monitor employment tracking of students and assist in collecting placement data
Maintain all safety standards as mandated by OSHA and the BOCES 2 organization
Consistent and effective program recruitment
Job Qualifications
2-5 years current experience working in the field
Certificate or Advanced credential
Strong knowledge of the content area
Teaching experience preferred but not necessarily required.
Must be able to use computers for attendance, grade management, email and other applications necessary to fulfill the requirements of the position.
