Responsibilities:

Perform personal care and health-related services on/to consumers including but not limited to bathing, grooming and toileting

Provide adjunct care by assisting nurse as instructed

Provide assistance to consumers with maintaining all areas related to activities of daily living. This includes but is not limited to: personal hygiene, maintaining clean living environment, grocery shopping, managing finances, etc. Assist consumers with building skills in this area.

Perform housekeeping and shopping tasks as needed

Provide interventions and support related to recovery and independence in all environments. Assist team members in providing support to consumers to achieve independence and rehabilitation.

Provide assistance to consumers related to transportation to daily activities, appointments, or as needed/directed by supervisor.

Be able to recognize and respond to symptoms of mental illness and/or emotional distress. Assist consumers with identifying and utilizing coping skills as needed

Requirements:

Valid Massachusetts CNA certification

Valid driver's license & reliable vehicle

Ideally prior experience working with adults having severe and persistent mental illness
