Description
The Primary Care Section Chief Physician Float ACC is a staff physician who independently provides clinical services to eligible Veterans. The incumbent will serve as direct supervisor to Primary Care float providers, physician system trainers and STCC providers at the ACC in collaboration with CBOC Chiefs to ensure coverage at the ACC and CBOCs. Incumbent will also provide direct patient care.
The major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading ACC float providers, physician system trainers and STCC providers in projects directed toward performance measure clinical outcome targets in access, quality of care, efficiency, process improvement, and patient satisfaction.
- Directly supervising float providers (physicians & APRNs), physician system trainers and STCC providers including oversite of day-to-day float coverage, training, performance appraisals, chart reviews and communicating VA mandates and policies and ensuring compliance.
- Practicing in accordance with professional standards, core values and with a commitment to excellent service.
- Providing comprehensive primary care to an adjusted size panel of assigned patients using the PACT model of care delivery including interfacing with non-VA providers to insure smooth transitions in care.
- Participation in the administration of programs, committees, and other staff functions as delegated by the primary care ACOS.
- Assigned additional and special assignments that are necessary to meet program goals or patient needs.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM
Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
