• Job Summary: Under the direction of a radiologist, performs screening and diagnostic mammograms at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
• Performs a variety of technical imaging procedures that entail application of ionizing radiation.
• Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Knowledge in how to operate digital mammography equipment and technologies, competency in the performance of screening and diagnostic mammograms, knowledge of how to address age-specific care needs of patients, effective interpersonal skills for communications and collaborations, competency in interpreting physician order requests for mammograms, ability to exercise prudent judgment in configuring equipment settings, ability to consistently produce quality images related to the breast region.
• Essential Functions: Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms, interacts with Denver Health's PACS system, maintains records of examinations and pertinent patient information in Epic, assembles order requisition and history sheet for radiologists, uses Epic to schedule breast diagnostic studies, assists in the maintenance of department inventory, maintains a clean and orderly working environment.
