Define the duties and responsibilities of the position:
Provide academic assistance to developmental students in content area (math or English) by attending class meetings of the selected course and facilitating student learning in weekly workshops. Model successful student behaviors and provide experiences that assist learning. Help students with study skills, preparations for tests, time management, methods of inquiry, and strategies for learning course content and vocabulary. Take attendance and accurately collect, maintain, and deliver data such as surveys and contact sheets in a timely manner. Meet regularly with the instructor for planning and feedback. Meet with TLC Manager as needed.
* Fall, Winter and Spring semester hours vary.Required Qualifications:
* Minimum Technology Skills
* Associate Degree in a related field with at least one year of tutoring or teaching experience.
* Proficiency in course content (math or writing).
* Working knowledge of skills being taught in the class.
* Good communication and organizational skills.Additional / preferred qualifications for the position:
* Bachelor's degree in related field.
* One or more years of related work experience tutoring or teaching Developmental Math and/or English.
