  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)
  • Patient Population: Complex Med/Surg/Tele patients. Post cardiac caths with interventions, CVA/TIA, ICD. Complex abdominal surgeries (open bellies/colons), oncology, cranis POD 2.
  • Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Tele/Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
  • Skillset REQUIRED: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong neuro assessment skills. Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (travelers are required to pass a tele test), Initiate/titrate drips (Insulin, cardiac, Heparin, etc.), heart cath recovery (fem. & TR bands). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!
  • Skillset PREFERRED: NG/PEG tubes, PIV insertion, Tikosyn dosing, chest tubes.
  • Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required -- Subject to change
    Schedule Information
  • Start: 11/18 or 12/2 - Bi-weekly orientation
  • Shift Requirement: 12hr Days 6:30-7
  • Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. Every other holiday.
  • Shift Details: Floating first within skillset between different campuses and units as required, with notifications given.

  • Unit Information: Neuro Cardiac Unit MS/Tele RN - Days
  • Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles).
  • On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/A
