Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center's new competitive Pharmacy Technician salary range starts at $17.00 per hour for Registered Techs and $22.00 per hour for Certified Techs, and increases for candidates with prior Pharmacy Technician experience. When you apply, we can help you determine the level you would be at for our different levels (1, 2, 3 & 4) according to our minimum qualifications for each level. We can also discuss the different pharmacy locations and the areas of opportunity.
Our Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program provides a pathway for individuals new to Pharmacy to a paid position within our pharmacy system while earning college credit and gaining skills and knowledge needed to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam. Enrollment for our September program is now open!

Responsibilities
- Answers Phones.
- Prepares prescription and non-prescription medication and/or devices.
- Stocks and replenishes stock locations and automated dispensing machines (ADMs) and/or robots (example: shelves, carousels, Parata).
- Communicates supply issues, problems or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
Inpatient Only:
- Prepares or compounds non-sterile, non-antineoplastic drug products in accordance with USP chapter <795> under supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
Outpatient Only:
- Electronically processes prescription orders and prepares prescriptions for verification by a pharmacist.
- Take verbal orders from providers, runs registers, performs production and data entry production.
- Processes third party claims.
Qualifications
Registered Technicians:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have a high school or equivalent diploma, or be working to achieve a high school or equivalent diploma
- 2 years of customer service experience preferred (Outpatient Pharmacy only)
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required within 9 months from date of hire.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.
Certified Technicians:
- Associates degree in a health or related field, (with 1 year of pharmacy experience) or the equivalent in education and experience preferred.

Required Licensure/Certifications
Registered Technicians: - Registered Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required. If not registered at hire, must register with the Board within 15 days of start of employment as a pharmacy technician and post such registration in the pharmacy within 30 days (NH 803.01; 4). Certified Technicians: - Registered Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required. - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required. - BLS Certification required within 30 days of hApply on company website
