Overview
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Pharmacy in Lebanon, NH seeks a Pharmacist Supervisor for Inpatient Operations and Distributive Services. This position supports the Medication Systems and Operations (MSO) Manager in providing leadership and oversight within distribution services. This Pharmacist Supervisor will have direct oversight of the inventory technician team, information services technician lead, and pharmacists with a primary staffing area within central pharmacy. The Pharmacist Supervisor works closely with system inventory and operations leaders to manage drug shortages, implement formulary changes, identify opportunities to improve efficiency, and collaborate on system inventory process improvement initiatives.
This is a Full-Time benefited 40hr/week position with a varying Day shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Oversee medication inventory system to ensure availability of medications for patient needs while minimizing costs and waste to promote efficiency
- Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure safe and efficient medication distribution
- Develop, optimize and monitor pharmacist and technician workflows for the medication distribution process
- Adjust workflows and provide support as needed with fluctuating demand and resources
- Hold staff accountable to and ensure compliance with NH Board of Pharmacy regulations, Joint Commission, CMS and other standards or regulations as applicable
- Collaborate with inpatient pharmacy leadership to develop training, education, and competency assessment materials for area of responsibility
- Provide opportunities for staff to advance their skills and contribute to practices in the pharmacy
- Coordinate the identification, communication and resolution of problems relating to daily operational activities
- Monitor and respond to daily error reports on an as needed basis
- Staff central pharmacy services as needed to support medication distribution and pharmacy services
- Maintain awareness of staff engagement through consistent leadership rounding with pharmacist and technician workforce.
- Recruit, train and evaluate Pharmacy Department staff.
- Schedule staff and ensures appropriate staff coverage.
- Assist in the development and administration of departmental policies and procedures which are consistent with current best management practices and regulations.
- Participates in quality improvement and medication use review activities of the department.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy 3 years' experience as a Pharmacist.
- Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy with 3 years of health care system experience (of which 1 must be pharmacy supervisory experience), or the equivalent required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and possess the ability to set priorities and make critical decision.
- Effective problem solving, and change management abilities desired.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated interpersonal and team skills essential.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Current unrestricted NH Pharmacist licensure. - Board Certification in Specialty Pharmacy (CSP) within 3 years of hire in the Specialty Pharmacy. - BLS within 30 days of hire in the Retail or Specialty Pharmacy if required to administer immunizationsDon't meet every single requirement?
