Overview
The LPN role in the clinic provides specialty care to our patient population and can change depending on the provider(s) and multi-specialty clinics. This position will support 15+ providers that range from the surgeons to the nurses. Dependent on the providers and the day, the range of tasks may include: rooming patients, collecting vital signs, low-level disinfection, completing medication reconciliation, providing patient education, participate in clinic procedures such as scopes, biopsies, ear injections, ear tube placement, ordering/preparing/assisting with medications, ability to assist with prior authorizations, facilitating inpatient admissions, telephone triage, answering in-basket messages and maintaining supply inventory
Strong work ethic and ability to communicate professionally with patients, nurses, physicians, administrative staff, and other departments is vital to success in this position. The LPN must possess the ability to work as a team and communicate well with others.

Responsibilities
Provides general nursing care to patients within scope of licensure.
* Utilizes the nursing process - assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to facilitate continuing health care to individuals, families, and community.
* Identifies common and recurring nursing needs of the patient.
* Recognizes the need for and performs routine office procedures and testing.
* Assists patients to achieve basic health care goals.
* Identifies patient education needs, providing instruction or referring appropriately.
* Assists staff in institutional quality improvement measures and office standards of practice.
* Provides telephone advice to patients per physician specific protocols; refers patients appropriately.
* Participates in staff meetings.
* Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
* Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of NH required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
