Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem
The Brook Hospital - KMI

As a per diem, nonexempt Staff Pharmacist with CPS Solutions, LLC at The Brook Hospital - KMI, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.  At times this position may also work at The Brooks Hospital-Dupont location.  This position reports to the Director of Pharmacy.

Schedule:  This position is does not have a regular set schedule, it will work to help cover staff PTO, sick time and weekend on call. 

Salary Range: $55-$58/hr based on experience

About the Facility:   The Brook Hospital - KMI is a 98 bed, Joint Commission accredited facility that offers psychiatric and substance abuse treatment for adolescents ages 13-17, adults and seniors, ages 18 and older.  Adolescent services include Psychiatric Inpatient, Extended Care Inpatient, Substance Use Treatment & Recovery Rehabilitation (STAR), Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Dual Diagnosis Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Psychiatric Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Substance Use Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient (IOP).  Adult services Psychiatric Inpatient, Substance Use Inpatient, Substance Use Rehabilitation, Transitional Residential Living House for Men (TL House) and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ETC).  CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy:  The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 7:30AM to 4:00PM. The pharmacy utilizes Omnicell automated cabinets, HCS pharmacy order entry services, CPOE and EMAR. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine
