Staff Pharmacist – Per Diem
Houston Physicians Hospital
Webster, TX
As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Schedule: This position does not have a regular set schedule and will work, "as needed."
About the Facility: Houston Physicians' Hospital features 15 private inpatient bedrooms, 12 bed brand new observation unit, 18 pre-op bed, 24 PACU beds, 11 operating room suites, 2 procedure rooms and 2 cath lab suites that feature state-of-the-art medical technology. Patients with a procedure requiring an overnight stay will recover in one of our 21 private rooms designed to calm the mind and enhance the recovery process. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy utilizes Paragon for order entry and Omnicell dispensing cabinets. Pharmacy hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 6:30am-6:00pm.
Required Qualifications:
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
- Current Pharmacist license in good standing in Texas
- Three years of recent experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a surgical hospital
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
- Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements:
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine
