Specialty Pharmacy Technician Liaison

As a full time, nonexempt CPS Solutions LLC Specialty Pharmacy Liaison you will work within the clinics to engage the providers and patients to improve continuity of care across the system. You will consult with each patient within the clinic, with the goal being to provide specialty pharmacy services through the specialty pharmacy. This position acts a liaison between the specialty pharmacy, providers and patients and is responsible for assisting the specialty pharmacy with data entry, financial assistance, prior authorizations and updating clinical information.
Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
About the Facility: Pikeville Medical Center is the largest hospital in southeastern Kentucky. As of 2018, the hospital consists of 1.6 million square feet spread across 43 facilities, is licensed for 340 beds, and services offered include cardiac, medical, surgical, pediatric, rehabilitative, cancer, neurological, pain care, wound care and home care. It is accredited through the Joint commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. (JACHO). CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Through training and/or experience, possess necessary knowledge to provide oversight of medication regimens for the patient populations treated in the facility including a knowledge of dosing for specific age populations
- Experience in specialty or outpatient pharmacy, and clinical pharmacy support for clinical programs preferred
- Exposure to managed care preferred
- Proficient computer skills using pharmacy systems and Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
Specialized Knowledge/Skills
- Independence with regard to communication with providers and patients
- Ability to use pharmacy management systems and care management platforms
- 2nd language spoken preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective communication skills - verbal and written
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine
