Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions LLC Pharmacy Technician at East Los Angeles Doctor's Hospital, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing; auditing patient records; and compounding medications using USP <797> guidelines. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will provide coverage up to 19 hours per week for staff PTO and/or as needed weekdays, weekends, or holidays. This position may occasionally work at Community Hospital of Huntington Park 1 or 2 days per week. Community Hospital of Huntington Park pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30am-6:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am-4:00pm.
Pay Range: $23-$25/hour based upon related work experience
About the Facility: Licensed for 127 beds, ELADH provides a wide range of services, both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Its inpatient services include Obstetrics, Pediatrics Medical/Surgical, Intensive and Coronary Care, and Sub-acute Care. Outpatient services include 24-hour Emergency Services, Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiopulmonary Medicine, and Rehabilitation Services. Community Hospital of Huntington Park is an 81-bed acute care hospital, accredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, that offers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. CPS Solutions LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions LLC.
About the Pharmacy: This centralized pharmacy utilizes Pyxis automation and the Paragon pharmacy system. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00am-8:00pm and weekends and Holidays from 7:30am-4:00pm.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Recent pharmacy technician experience in an inpatient hospital setting required
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements:
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Tdap or declination
- HepB or declination
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- Respirator FIT Mask Test
- Physical examination by the hospital
- Covid Vaccine-Full
