Pharmacy Technician - Full Time
Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital
Baltimore, MD

As a full-time, nonexempt Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician , you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; and billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

Starting Pay: $18 - 20 per hour, (Depending on related work experience)

Schedule: This position will work a full-time schedule of 32 hours per week with rotating shifts 7:00 am-3:30pm; 8:00 am-4:30pm; 10:30am to 7:00pm. Occasional weekends from 8am to 4:30pm.

About the Facility:  Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is a 102-bed non-profit children's hospital that treats more than 8,000 patients each year on an inpatient, outpatient and day treatment basis set in the scenic neighborhood of Mt. Washington in Baltimore that provides long-term care for children with complex health problems. MWPH accreditations include the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and The Joint Commission. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 7:00 am-7:00 pm, and on weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) from 8:00 am-4:30 pm. The pharmacy is closed on major holidays.

Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • Maryland Pharmacy Technician license in good standing

  • Nationally certified through PTCB preferred

  • At least 1 year of recent experience as a pharmacy technician required

  • Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Valid MD Driver's license and reliable motor vehicle

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
