Pharmacy Technician/Buyer

As a full time, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Buyer, you will be responsible for pharmaceutical purchasing for the Pharmacy. You will stock the pharmacy to meet the needs of patients, optimize cost savings, ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory guidelines, assist pharmacy management with invoice reconciliation, integrity, inventory control and management, contract compliance, and the purchase of items that meet the required specifications, achieve standards for quality and quantity and a favorable price. You will coordinate reverse distributor returns, and lead the automated dispensing cabinet restocks and expiration date monitoring. The Pharmacy Buyer also covers several pharmacy technician duties.
Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 4:00PM.
Starting Pay: $14.00 to $14.42 per hour, based on experience.
About the Facility: Alternative Health Care Solutions is a skilled nursing facility in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It provides medical, continuous nursing, and other health and social services to patients who are not in an acute phase of illness requiring services in a hospital. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 8:00PM and weekends/holidays from 7:00AM to 3:30PM.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Recent experience as a Pharmacy Buyer (hospital setting preferred)
- Puerto Rico Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Certificate of Good Standing from the Puerto Rico Board of Pharmacy
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communication skills; verbal and written
- Must speak fluent Spanish
- Must reside in Puerto Rico
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR)) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine
