Pharmacy Technician - Full Time

As a full time, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician at the Center for Behavioral Medicine, you will be responsible for pharmaceutical purchasing for the Pharmacy as well as typical Pharmacy Technician duties. You will stock the pharmacy to meet the needs of patients, optimize cost savings, ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory guidelines, assist pharmacy management with invoice reconciliation, integrity, inventory control and management, contract compliance, and the purchase of items that meet the required specifications, achieve standards for quality and quantity and a favorable price. You perform Medicare Part D adjudications or train and delegate to another pharmacy technician, manage rejections, coordinate reverse distributor returns, and lead the automated dispensing cabinet restocks and expiration date monitoring. Your responsibilities will also include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements..
Schedule: This full time, nonexempt position works 40 hours/week and occasionally additional hours as needed. Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm.
Salary Range: $18-$21/hr depending on experience
About the Facility: The Center for Behavioral Medicine currently operates 65 adult acute beds and 25 adult residential beds. CBM operates three group homes in the community and serves the Greater Kansas City, Missouri area and surrounding counties with intensive and specialized behavioral health treatments. The Center focuses its services on bridging the gap between physical and behavioral medicine with an emphasis on wellness. The Center provides a therapeutic approach to recovery that assists individuals to progress regardless of their limitations or symptoms. CBM utilizes evidence based diagnostic and therapeutic modalities in a holistic approach to patient treatment. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm. The pharmacy utilizes Meta/Cantata and the Touchpoint automated night cabinet.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Missouri Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- PTCB certification preferred
- 2+ years current or recent experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital setting
- Prior Pharmacy Buyer experience preferred
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communication skills; verbal and written communication skills
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
