Director of Pharmacy

As a full time, exempt Director of Pharmacy with CPS Solutions, LLC at CenterPointe Hospital in St. Charles, your duties will include pharmacy organization of workflow, formulary management, operating the pharmacy according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. In addition, you will be staffing and overseeing all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing and controlling activities. You will fill orders with accuracy; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy. You will also oversee a staff of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians (5 total). This full time position works primarily Monday-Friday with on call, and provides occasional weekend time off coverage.
As a CPS-employed Director of Pharmacy, you'll have a full support team available to you including experts in operations, clinical, and regulatory.
Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday 8 AM- 4:30 PM. May cover PTO on weekends as needed
Salary Range: $140,000-$150,000 based on experience
About the Facility: CenterPointe Hospital, is a Joint Commission accredited 90 bed premier psychiatric hospital, with an average daily census of 104 patients. This facility provides inpatient and outpatient behavioral, mental health and addiction services for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8a-6:30p, (and possibly later based upon order entry needs) and Saturday/Sunday from 8a-Noon. There may be remote order entry services added in the future which will reduce pharmacy hours. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services has partnered with CenterPointe Hospital to manage the day to day operations of the pharmacy; with all pharmacy staff being employed by CPS.
Required Qualifications:
- BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Licensed pharmacist in the State of Missouri in good standing
- 2+ years recent pharmacy management in a hospital setting
- Knowledge and Understanding of 340B
- Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility
- Ability to deal effectively with change
- Knowledge of Retail pharmacy operations
- Experience with Pyxis is a plus
Hospital Requirements: (may be required)
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
