Director of Pharmacy 
Fitzgibbon Hospital

Marshall, Missouri

As the full time, exempt staffing Director of Pharmacy with CPS at Fitzgibbons Hospital of Marshall, Missouri, you will oversee all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, and controlling activities according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will fill orders with accuracy and maintain security of the pharmacy and controlled substances.  You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team at CPS, including experts in pharmacy operations, clinical administration, and regulatory compliance. 

Salary Range: $140,000-$155,000 based on experience plus bonus opportunity

Schedule:  This position will work primarily Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. Every other weekend rotation

About the Facility: Fitzgibbon Hospital, is an acute care, non profit 60 bed community hospital.  Fitzgibbon Hospital is a leader in central Missouri in providing quality, compassionate care and personal attention to patients.  Services include a Cancer Center, Ambulatory Care, ICU, MedSurg, OR, ER, Women Center, and Specialists' clinics.  CPS® has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS. 

About the Pharmacy:  The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 6:30am-5pm, Saturday & Sunday 7am-3:30pm.  Pharmacy systems include Cerner and Cerner Rx Station.  

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Missouri Pharmacist licensure in good standing
  • At least 3 years of recent work experience as an acute care hospital Pharmacist
  • Management experience in a healthcare/hospital environment preferred
  • Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and pharmacy order entry systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements:

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Hepatitis B3 Series or declination
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
