Director of Pharmacy 
Brentwood Hospital
Shreveport, LA

As a full-time, exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Director of Pharmacy, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed-upon programs with assistance from a full support team.   

Schedule: This position is scheduled to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.

Starting Pay: $140,000 to $150,000 plus bonus, based on experience

About the Facility:  Brentwood Hospital is a 200-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility that offers psychiatric services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. At Brentwood, we strive to revitalize lives through compassion and innovative care.  Serving Louisiana, east Texas and south Arkansas for more than 44 years, Brentwood Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and is certified and approved by TRICARE®, Medicare and Medicaid. CPS has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.  

About the Pharmacy:  The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm and weekends from 8am-2pm. The centralized pharmacy utilizes HCS, ePharmacy, and Pyxis automatic dispensing systems.

Required Qualifications: 

  • BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Louisiana Pharmacist licensure in good standing
  • 2+ years of management experience in a healthcare/hospital environment, behavioral health preferred. Omnicell experience is a plus!
  • Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility
  • ​Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications and involvement with Professional organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns and work cooperatively with other staff

Hospital Requirements  

  • TB Test - Proof of negative TB test within the last 12 months (PPD, QFT, or CXR)
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or a blood titer proving immunity 
  • Varicella - 2 document doses or a blood titer proving immunity 
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination)
  • ​(Flu) Influenza - required for hire between Oct 1st and April 30th 
  • COVID Vaccine
