Certified Pharmacy Technician - Full Time  
Central State Hospital
Louisville, KY                           

Description: As a full-time, non-exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 8:00am-4:30pm.

About the Facility:  Central State Hospital is part of Commonwealth of KY and is a behavioral Health Acute Care Hospital licensed for 100 beds providing various levels of care for acute and long-term care patients, to facilitate the recovery and return to community life. The site located in Louisville, Kentucky and is an employer to approximately 300 employees. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy team consist of enthusiastic individuals including a Director of Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacist, Staff Pharmacists, and Pharmacy Technicians. The Pharmacy department provides pharmacy services to two facilities and is open during the hours of Monday-Friday: 8am-4:30pm  and utilizes AcuDose software and dispensing cabinets, and Meditech EMAR.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Kentucky Pharmacy Technician License REQUIRED
  • National Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) REQUIRED 
  • Valid KY Drivers License Required
  • 3+ years of expereince as a pharmacy technician, retail or hospital 
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements (may be required):

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine
