SALARY:
$93,595.44 - $137,698.41 Annually, plus Benefits
POSITION:
Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, the full-time Pharmacist II - Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing and sustaining clinical pharmacy programs across the hospital. Will provide oversight and guidance on medication use quality assurance and compliance with emphasis on patient safety.
The Pharmacist II - Clinical Coordinator:
- Develops and revises policies and procedures to optimize drug utilization and medication safety while meeting accreditation standards and regulations.
- Ensures initial and on-going competency-based assessment of pharmacist's clinical practice.
- Provides leadership for various clinical education programs for students, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The Pharmacist II - Clinical Coordinator's primary responsibilities include clinical staff education, and coordination of drug use evaluation (DUE), assists in the development and implementation of new clinical pharmacy services. Works in a multidisciplinary group through committee involvement for creation of clinical practice guidelines and hospital policies. The Pharmacist II - Clinical Coordinator will also assist in departmental performance improvement, work closely with the medication safety officer on Adverse Drug Reaction monitoring, and compliance with The Joint Commission standards.
