At Santa Fe Recovery Center, we are passionate about helping clients struggling with substance use disorder. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team on a 3-month temporary assignment in our Gallup, NM offices. This is a critical role where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care and outcomes.

Under the direction of the Detox Nurse Supervisor, and as part of the program's interdisciplinary team the Nurse is responsible for the medical care of clients within the Detox and Residential Programs. This includes the direct provision of medical care and triage/coordination for clients who must be seen by the physician. The Nurse works to strengthen the program's integrity by ensuring medical policies, procedures, and systems are adhered to and in compliance with applicable State & Federal regulatory requirements.

  • Shift: Must be willing to work any shift Day/Night (7 am to 7 pm and 7 pm to 7 am)
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks with the opportunity for extension or permanent hire

Duties and Responsibilities: (Included but not limited to)

You'll report to the Director of Nursing and:

  • Works with the Nurse Supervisor, Director of Nursing, and Chief Medical Officer, and ancillary staff to coordinate new clients' medical care.
  • Performs nursing assessment for all newly admitted clients.
  • Follows up with medical care for clients during their stay within the residential program, including medical emergencies.
  • Works with members of interdisciplinary teams to create and maintain a therapeutic and safe environment for clients that maximizes the quality of care and productivity for Med-Tech staff.[KM1]
  • Reviews and oversees residential client files as related to medical services being provided.
  • Attends seminars and workshops as necessary to ensure compliance and fidelity with new and existing evidence-based modalities and treatment approaches utilized by Santa Fe Recovery Center.
  • Understands and maintains HIPAA and 42CFR Part 2 confidentiality standards relative to Santa Fe Recovery Center.
Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Registered Nurse License. Must be licensed at the time of hire, and continue licensure throughout employment.
  2. One-year of experience working with clients with co-occurring mental health/substance use problems is preferred.
  3. Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications is required to effectively maintain compliance with licensing and certification standards and requirements.
  4. Must have and maintain a current, valid NM Driver's License. Must also have and maintain a clean driving record and auto insurance.
  5. Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural preferred (English/Navajo).
