    Certification Details
  • ARDMS, BLS, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) Verification.
  • General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.).
  • Specialty Certifications: ARDMS, RCS, RDMS, RDCS, VS, RVT.
  • AE (adult echo) or PE (pediatric echo) certification may be required.
    Job Details
  • Hospital seeks Echo tech who has experience with vascular and ultrasound for a travel assignment.
  • Facility prefers 2-3 years' experience in both areas and hours will vary with on-call divided between staff of the unit.
    Job Requirements
  • Must be registered in echo or vascular ultrasound & able to perform both (will cover both echo & vascular ultrasound on shift).
  • 2 years minimum experience required.
  • Echo tech with experience in vascular and ultrasound preferred.
    Schedule Information
  • 8Hr shifts.
  • Varying start times depending on schedule.
  • 630AM, 730AM, 11AM starts available.
  • Shifts will be rotating, the later person is often the person who is on-call.
  • Rotating weekend requirement, need to be flexible.
  • Should expect to assist with call during holidays.
  • Call begins at 5PM, staffing 7 days/week.
  • Rotating call schedule among all staff.
  • People are able to trade shifts to take more or less.
  • Approximately 2 shifts/week.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Will they have to float/cover any other areas? No, unless there is intraoperative experience.
  • Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: vascular and cardiac cases.
  • How many scanners/rooms does this dept have? 8 (will be 9 after construction).
  • Department Specific Equipment: Siemens SC2000 for echo & vascular.
  • Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech? Lead tech, assistant director available 24/7.
  • Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? Work with staff in cath lab or OR.
  • Radiologist in-house? Yes.
  • Do they have to start IV's? No.
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs provided - teal, scrub order form sent with placement paperwork & given on the 1st day at the facility.
  • Department specific orientation: 3 days - will orient to hospital and outpatient; Mon-Fri, IP/OP setting with some call.
