This position utilizes scheduling and registration information to verify coverage for all ordered procedures and office visits. After verification of benefits, this position obtains the required authorizations/Pre-Certifications through the patient's insurance carrier or third-party vendor for the carrier. Authorizations/Pre-Certifications are documented appropriately in the hospital systems. This position acts as a liaison between, patients, physicians, Radiation Oncology Admin, centralized billing office, insurance carrier and other community agencies.
 
*Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm*

Qualifications:
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
 

* High School Diploma/G.E.D.
* Two years experience in outpatient clinic, physician office or other health care setting
* Experience with medical billing and coding preferred
* Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance payers
Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
