Overview

CHI Health Department of Surgery, Section of Bariatric and Esophageal Surgery seeks a Physician Assistant to join our extremely productive General Surgery Trained, Fellowship Trained Surgeon, who continues to build a busy practice.


This is an exciting opportunity to help grow our physician's practice, combining the aspects of clinical work and operating room time focusing on robotic procedures at one or more of our clinics and hospital locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical and or procedural setting being able to practice autonomously and as part of a team seeing patients of the physician.


Weekly responsibilities, along with operating room assistance, will be providing dedicated services to Bariatric and Esophageal patients, seeing post operative patients healing from various open and laparoscopic procedures. Operating room experiences is not a requirement as our physician is willing to mentor and spend time teaching the qualified candidate with clinical experience.


The position also offers extremely lucrative pay, 401K, light call, dedicated CME time and money, very generous time off, full health, dental, vision and malpractice insurance.


Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
    • Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • Provide clear and concise medical information.
    • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
    • Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
    • Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
  • Diagnostic Procedures:
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
    • Perform procedures as needed
    • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
    • Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
    • Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.

Compensation Information:
$56.73 / Hourly - $56.73 / Hourly


Starting At: 56.73 Hourly
Up To: 65.89 Hourly
