Job Description

The Motorcycle Mechanic is essential to providing the enhanced student experience by ensuring all motorcycles are in good working order.  The CSN Motorcycle Safety Program highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Motorcycle Mechanic to assist the CSN team.  We need someone with an understanding of motorcycle systems who can diagnose, repair, and maintain the current training bikes. The ideal candidate is passionate about motorcycles and motorcycle safety and possesses solid technical skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire replacements, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

  • Execute comprehensive repairs on motorcycle systems, including engine rebuilds, electrical repairs, and suspension tuning, following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards at all three sites.

  • Documenting repairs or maintenance for each motorcycle.

  • Keep a parts inventory and communicate assistance or supply needs to the Program Manager.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of motorcycle repair and maintenance practices and procedures. 

  • Has proficiency in parts lookup via shop manuals and internet sources for replacement part numbers.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Can communicate via email and Teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and AAS in Motorcycle Repair OR a minimum of 3-5 years of experience specifically in motorcycle maintenance and repair.

  • An NV driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement.

  • Proficiency in the use of a personal computer and current software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to make decisions and take actions independently for a variety of diverse situations.

  • Maintain composure in stressful and/or emergency situations.

$25 - $30 Hourly
