HR Generalist III
Job Status: Full Time, Salary, Level 12

Position Summary: HR Generalist III works with departments, leaders, and team members in the Retail Home Office Business Unit on recruiting, employment practices, leaves of absence, compensation, training, compliance, department reorganization, engagement surveys, talent development, core HR, and performance management. The HR Generalist III would need to build and maintain close relationships with Retail Home Office leaders to become a trusted advisor on a broad range of people issues. The HR Generalist III has the ability to identify and help solve difficult and sometimes complex personnel issues. The HR Generalist III may be involved in executing programs and/or initiatives within Retail (e.g. the Internship Program, Performance Management, VTO, TMRGs, etc.). The HR Generalist will be able to perform all duties with a high level of expertise and independence.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy & Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and execute HR initiatives that support business objectives, focusing on recruiting, talent development, employee relations, and performance management.
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Lead the development and execution of recruitment strategies to attract top talent for Home Office. Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, create job descriptions, and develop competitive compensation packages.
- Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, coaching, and addressing employee performance concerns. Lead investigations and manage the response to employee grievances, including EEOC complaints.
- Compensation & Benefits: Partner with compensation teams to assess pay structures, make recommendations on salary adjustments, bonus structures, and commission plans. Provide guidance on benefits, leaves of absence, and related policies to ensure compliance and employee satisfaction.
- Onboarding & Employee Development: Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring smooth transitions for new employees and facilitating a HR touchpoint program. Collaborate with managers to provide ongoing coaching and support to employees throughout their career journey.
- Organizational Design: Operate as a key business partner to managers, directors and senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational optimization, leadership development, team effectiveness, and other strategic initiatives.
- Policy & Compliance Management: Regularly review, update, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge of employment laws and regulations to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to legal standards.
- HR Technology & Reporting: Leverage HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite to manage personnel action requests, track HR metrics, and report on key initiatives. Conduct exit interviews and manage the distribution and analysis of surveys.
- Additional Support: Support various HR projects and company-wide initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certification: HR Professional Certification (SHRM CP/SCP or PHR) preferred, not required.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong emphasis on recruitment, employee relations, and compensation.
- Skills:
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Expertise in employment law and HR best practices.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters professionally.
