JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Manager is responsible for the coordination and effective management of Construction Hub operations activities for Pell City, AL, Jasper, AL, and additional future location. This will require day-travel or occasional overnight travel within a defined geographic area between multiple locations, generally within 50-75 miles. Some of the key operation activities included in the scope of Construction Hub operations include (but are not limited to): job/work pipeline management, scheduling of work and teams, invoicing of work, fleet management and maintenance, compliance activities, people operations (payroll/time), training plans, inventory ordering/management, customer relations and team communications. The position will collaborate frequently with the production leaders for the construction facilities, project management and home centers (customers), as well as the regional and corporate support teams.
JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Manage key planning and execution of operational activities for Construction Hub(s)
- Intake work from our retail home center locations with sufficient detail and information required to plan/schedule the work.
- Create effective schedules that maximize efficiency, productivity, customer experience and Team Member experience.
- Monitor and manage fleet maintenance and repairs, ensuring high levels of in-service vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain skill/training assessments for construction Team Members and plan training activity for production teams.
- Plan and manage a wide variety of People/HR activities, including staffing, interviewing, time and attendance, payroll, onboarding/orientations, uniforms, etc.
- Invoice completed work accurately and on a timely basis
- Order and maintain appropriate levels of inventory and supplies
- Review tracking forms (inspections, job tracking, training, etc.) completed by field production teams for completeness and accuracy
- Maintain compliance standards (permits, licenses, signage, vehicle documentation, etc.)
- Review reporting from corporate partners to take necessary actions (fleet, safety, compliance, people, etc.)

2. Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate effectively and constantly with Production Manager on Hub activities (scheduling, training, planning, etc.)
- Build strong relationships and execute processes consistently with Home Centers and Project Management functions
- Partner and collaborate with Zone, Regional and Corporate functions as required

3. Leadership Activities
- Understand and manage to longer-term growth and success strategies for the business
- Hold and participate in frequent performance and coaching conversations with Crew Chiefs and Team Members
- Lead effective hub and team meetings
- Effectively further the positive culture of the company and locations by frequently adhering to and referencing established values

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations or Logistics preferred or equivalent mix of education and experience.
Years of Related Experience: Minimum of five years in Operations or Business Management preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
