Job Description:

The Construction Project Manager must have experience with and understand the concepts, practices, and procedures used in real estate transactions. This position supports real estate projects in our residential growth model from concept development, scoping, building the requirements sourcing, acquisition through construction to activation/occupancy/completion. Key focus areas include project task management, documentation management, budgeting, forecasting and other duties in support of overall real estate department functionality. Vertically integrated, involved in building, selling, and insuring affordable housing.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain schedules, budgets, and profitability of assigned projects.
  • Assemble and review construction drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Review land developers functions to vet properties, draw or assist with lot counts, check sales comps, and estimate costs based on prior projects.
  • Interface with clients, network, and develop business.
  • Lead design activities for project infrastructure.
  • Create, execute, and measure process improvements.
  • Make responsible decisions regarding company funds and resources.
  • Report and track returns on construction and sales to determine ROI.
  • Project task management, documentation management, budgeting, forecasting, and supporting real estate department functionality.
  • Education: 4-year degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 2+ years of related experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
  • Ability to translate big-picture strategy into tactical actions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with project management tools (scorecards, dashboards, analytics).
  • Proven problem-solving skills in a competitive industry.
  • Ability to manage through relationships and influence.
