1 temporary full-time position for 4 months intended specifically for students currently enrolled in a business, public administration, science, technology or data post-secondary degree program, commencing in May 2025

Reporting to the Waste Services Operational Training Supervisor, the student will provide automation support in developing and maintaining critical resource systems for a comprehensive centralized internal training program. The student will be providing meaningful and impactful work towards developing code for automations within a complex resource infrastructure, and succession planning through developing manuals for these processes. The student will also be providing general support for the training needs of the Branch.

As a part of the team, you will:

• Develop code (JavaScript, Formulas in Google Sheets, Python, Apps Script, and Tableau) to automate training processes and reporting, and streamline training and learning systems
• Use various tools and coding (JavaScript, Python, Google Sheets, and Apps Script) to create comprehensive programs, forms, documents, and data analytics and visualization
• Design, test, and implement automation and applications to enhance training processes and data analysis using Tableau
• Enter training data into spreadsheets and current Learning Management System (LMS), and migrate training data and materials to the new Learning Management System (LMS)
• Support the Waste Services training team with tracking and document management, maintaining manuals and SOPs, calendar scheduling, dashboards, email management, and training maintenance
